The Professional Development Committee of LACUNY is pleased to announce the recipients of this year's Professional Development Grants. The grant of $500 is awarded to support a LACUNY member's participation in a library-related conference or meeting. Applications are evaluated on the following:
how the recipient's participation helps further LACUNY's mission, or
facilitates a contribution to areas of special focus within CUNY libraries, or
explores new trends in the field.
This year's recipients are
Karl Madden, Medgar Evers College, for "Library Staff in the Changing Academy: Modern Adaptation, Traditional Wisdom," to participate in Second International Symposium on Emerging Trends and Technologies in Libraries & Information Services, June 2010.
Alycia Sellie, Brooklyn College, for "Immersion Teacher Track Program 2010," to participate in the ACRL Immersion Program, July 2010.
Anamika Dasgupta, York College, for "ASIST 2010 Annual Conference," to participate in the ASIST Annual Conference, October 2010.
