Danielle Becker (Hunter) has been appointed Web Librarian. She was previously at South Dakota State University.
John Carey (Hunter Health Professions) has been appointed reference/instructional librarian.
John Drobnicki (York) was appointed Chief Librarian in January after serving as Acting Chief Librarian for eighteen months.
Irene Gashurov joined the Office of Library Services in April to help promote the work of both OLS and CUNY libraries generally to a broader audience. In addition to working as a writer and editor, Irene has been a librarian at the University of Southern California, Queens Borough Public Library, and Time, Inc.
William Gibbons (City) has been granted tenure.
Scott Johnston (Graduate Center) accepted a position at the University of Victoria in May. Scott had been co-editor of News from CUNY Libraries.
Stephen Klein (Graduate Center) was appointed Systems Librarian in May. Stephen was previously at Pratt Institute.
Anne Larsen (Hunter) has been appointed Director of Facilities Planning and Technology. Anne was previously a library building consultant for the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
Brian Lym (Hunter) has been appointed Science Librarian. Brian was previously senior reference librarian at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Tanya Manvelidze (Hunter Social Hunter) has retired after more than forty years with Hunter libraries.
Michael J. Miller (Queens) has been appointed Assistant Librarian for Public Services.
Sarah Laleman Ward (Hunter) has been appointed as Outreach Librarian. Sarah was previously at the Adam and Sophie Gimbel Design Library at New York University.
Patricia Woodard (Hunter) has been promoted to associate professor.
Sunny Yoon (OLS) left her position as Digital Resources Coordinator in February to become a taxonomist at Morgan Stanely.
