The Brooklyn Archives has received a $350,000 NEH grant to process the Hank Kaplan Boxing Collection. Tony Cucchiara, the library’s chief archivist, will preserve the collection and make it available to researchers.

Queens presented “In Celebration of a Library Legend, David Cohen: A Pioneer in Multicultural Education and Intellectual Freedom” from April 7 through August 31. An account of curating the exhibit by exhibits intern Karen Klein appeared in PageDown, the library’s newsletter. Professor Cohen turned 101 on May 24.
