LACUNY Professional Development Committee awards three professional travel grants of up to $600 to full LACUNY members in Spring and Fall semesters for the purpose of attending library-related conferences /meetings / events.
This is not a research travel grant, which is covered by the PSC-CUNY research awards. In addition, this grant is separate from any funds which may be available through a particular college or department for faculty travel. Grant deadlines and other details will be announced in a timely manner through the CULIB-L listserv.
Eligibility:
Only LACUNY Full members are eligible to apply for this travel award. Full membership is defined as a LACUNY member on the staff of the City University libraries who has a master's degree in library science from an accredited institution, and to anyone on the staffs of the City University who has a Master's degree in educational technology or a Master's degree in computer science.

Evaluation Criteria
The grant applications are evaluated on the following criteria:
Proposal: It should be no longer than 500 words. It should clearly represents how attending such an event can benefit candidate in his/her professional development, How the member’s attendance furthers the LACUNY’s mission, contributes to areas of special focus within CUNY libraries, explores new trends in the field and how well these ideas are communicated to the reviewers.
